A new blog.

As you can see, I haven't been posting lately.
That is because I have made a new blog,
I will be giving this one up for that,
because this was a tester blog for me.
It will be similar to couture cure,
but it will be a little different.

Smells like Couture

I was browsing through ShopBop, and i came across these fabulously funny socks by juicy couture. They got me laughing. They are 12 dollars a pair. Whoa is how i'll say it. What got me laughing is the detail on the bottom of the socks, it says "smells like couture". So next time someone says your feet smell, tell them it smells like couture. There are many phrases on the side of the socks, like 'pretty juicy', 'juicy delinquents', 'homecoming couture', and 'rebel without couture'. Although I only wear ankle socks, these are very... rebel-chic. But just don't wear them with your gym shorts :]

Leopard Flats

Today, i went to Sunridge mall to do some last-minute Christmas shopping. I read this other blog that said that there were cute (and cheap) flats in Payless, so I went there. I own only one pair of flats, and they hurt more than my 4-inch wedges. So, I zapped to the fives section, and immidatly tried on some shoes.

American Eagle™ "Fiona" Ballet Flat

Pleather, $29.99 CDN, payless.

I wanted to get these ones, becuase I know that these would look amazing with skinnies, and pleather is "in" right now, but they were so unbreathable, and after admiring myself in the store's mirror for a few minutes, my feet started getting hot, so I decided that these wern't for me.

And then my mom showed me another pair of flats, they were the same brand, style, and price, but they were made out of a more breathable material, and is leopard print. An oh yes, they were as cute as the pleather ones. so I brought them. I love love love them.

Okay. Now that I've showed you some glamorous flats, let me rant.

one thing that irritates me- skinny jeans with skater shoes. You know, the kind of shoes where you can't hide it with the hem of your pants- you have to tuck them in? i seriously don't know what their thinking. Don't get me wrong- i'm not dissing their style or whatever, but skinny jeans are supposed to be worn with pumps, flats, ankle boots and others. Not skater shoes. i do not think that its appropriate. I know that my school isn't one of the we-only-wear-trainers-in-gym kind of place, but please, respect some fashion rules. Save your skater shoes for the boot cut. But, i think that if you wear your skinnies with smaller sneaker-trainers, like pumas, it will be comfortable, and also a little, tiny bit cute. its not the best choice ever, but at least you wont be the-ew-girl-with-the-skater-shoes.

Another that irratates me- select people in my class. They think their fashionable, but the only thing that is close to that is their 70 dollar TNA hoodies. I'm a fan of TNA, but I think their hoodies are way too plain worn alone. yet everyone's obsessed with them. This girl- she wore her black TNA hoodie with black old-navy kids jeans (that i also own but threw into my "unwanted" pile of clothes in my junkyard of a closet long ago). The only thing on her that was not black was the teeny-tiny TNA sign on her. She looked emo, but tons of people complemented her (not including me). I think people here should be more fashion-forward. Just because we can't catch the runway shows doesen't mean we can't be truly fashionable. I think that we really have to step out of the hoodies, and get your own life.

until next post,

Cee.

Get the style of a Celebrity without the price.

This is a very long guide, so i'm splitting them up.

Glamour in Jeans.

Steal Nicole's style

Accessories:

  1. Over size, over priced designer sunglasses. Wear them always when you're outside. Cause' that's what the celebrities do.
  2. The skull scarf. Wear it with a simple tank top for instant glam.
  3. Oversize leatherbag in colors that pop. Wear it with your skull scarf & tank for added glam.
  4. small, non-chunky bracelets (click here to see) Get quality gold bangles (or cheap ones that look real. don't worry, i won't tell.) and show them off. Or wear a few brown/ black elastic bands arond your wrist.
  5. The headband. Buy satin ones that are in your favorite color (me-purple) they look great. Plus, hide greasy roots!

Jeans:

  1. Black skinny jeans. Dress them up with red pumps for sexy-glam, dress them down with black flats for laidback-glam. ( i love the black flats/black skinnies look. the look is really easy to acheive, but it looks and feels great.)
  2. Medium wash bootcut sort-of-skinny-around-the-calves jeans. They are perfect for school. Wear them with flip-flops if you're blessed with warm weather (which i, unfortunatly, am not.) , or cute sneakers (like pumas. they arn't big & skater-y, but they offer no traction or support whatsoever.) Wear them with a comfy sweater or a tee.

Shirts:

  1. The fitted white tank top. pile on the accesories for daytime glamour.
  2. All shirts that have cute, girly-boho details. nighttime glamour, here I come!
  3. V-neck tees. they show enough skin without showing too much skin.

Shoes:

  1. black flats. Wear them with black skinnies for laidback glam.
  2. metallic flats. wear them with your medium to light washed skinnies.
  3. pumps in all colors. waer with dark to black skinnies for nighttime glamour.

Additional Tips:

  1. Pile on the accesories. Layer necklaces & bracelets.
  2. make a "boring" outfit pop- Nicole style- add a bold piece, such as red pumps, yellow bags, the like.
  3. Get a Nicole makover- brown hair, subtle but sexy makeup, plump lips, red nails.
